Dan Shure is a director, video editor, actor, and musician living in Brooklyn.

Dan is a member of the band Charly Bliss, who released their second album Young Enough in 2019 to critical acclaim. The band has toured internationally, performed an NPR Tiny Desk Concert, and on television on The Chris Gethard Show. Dan has also contributed music to comedy shows such as The List (Bowen Yang, Matt Rogers and Dave Mizzoni) and Jenny’s Birthday Variety Show.

Dan produced, edited and starred in Charly Bliss’ reality TV parody Ignorance is Bliss and spin-off holiday special, It’s a Blissful Life. He also remotely directed and edited the music video for the band's covid-era Christmas song It’s Christmas and I F**king Miss you which The New York Times called “unexpectedly poignant.”

Recent acting credits include Drag Bro: Straight to the Spotlight! (Web), Fire in the Belly (Kickstarter HQ), Omega Kids (Dixon Place), Broadway Aunts (Web). New York theater directing credits include A Brief Introduction to Astrophysics, and assistant-directing the Amoralist productions of Rantoul and Die (NYTimes Critic's Pic) and The Cheaters Club. He is an alumnus of Skidmore College, the Atlantic Theater, 3LD, and BADA.
